A Big No To Nannies With Eczema

Posted on July 14, 2010 by

There was one time when my mother brought a girl from the province. She’ll be the one who’s going to be my lil kiddos nanny. At first, I interviewed her about her background and all. In the end I wasn’t able to let her work as my daughter’s nanny since she has some kind of disease. I saw that her hands are full of skin rashes or something. She told me that it was actually eczema. Well, having that kind of disease is kind of hard since she is not allowed to have a long contact with water. I just thought if that’s the case, who’s going to clean my lil kiddo’s feeding bottles? Who will gonna bath my little darling? Oh my.

Anyway, before I send her go back to her place, I gave her some remedies on how to treat her eczema. I advised her to buy Temovate, a corticosteroid cream, and apply it on her hands each day. This prescription medication cream is commonly used for most types of eczema that affect the hands. What it does is essentially speed up the process of healing and treat the dryness and cracking that may occur during a flare-up. Another is she must moisturize her hands with a fragrance-free hand lotion. Anytime she wash or wet her hands, she should thoroughly and gently dry them, and then apply a hand moisturizer. Well, there are a lot of remedies for eczema but I guess these are enough to cure her disease.
